Rediscovering Books Amid Digital Frenzy

Since its launch in December 2021, Turning Pages has grown into a dynamic campaign that connects readers across Africa and beyond. Designed to promote sustainable tourism, reading culture, and entrepreneurship, the initiative has become a model of how storytelling can inspire both learning and exploration.

Implemented through a series of book club sessions, Turning Pages brings together students and professionals from key industries that drive African economies. These gatherings spark meaningful dialogue around travel, business, and cultural identity — showing how reading can open minds, strengthen communities, and stimulate innovation.

So far, 102 sessions have been staged in Rwanda and other African destinations, engaging 615 readers and distributing books worth Rwf 4,934,000. Each event highlights a featured Afrika Nzuri publication, with copies donated by partners who share the campaign’s vision of empowering communities through education and experience. We are just getting started.

From Kigali to Addis Ababa and Nairobi to Accra, Turning Pages has built bridges across borders — using books as a common language of inspiration. Every session adds a new chapter to the story of African readers embracing storytelling as a form of learning and travel as a tool used to expand horizons.

At its core, Turning Pages is more than a reading program. It’s a journey — one that celebrates Africa’s potential, showcases its diversity, and turns curiosity into meaningful connections.
