From Kingfisher Resort, I followed a narrow trail hugging the lake intimately. At some point along the way, I stumbled upon Inyanja Resort. This hidden gem wasn’t part of my itinerary, but it quickly earned a place on my list of memorable stops.
Back on the road, or rather the winding trail, I found myself repeatedly seduced by the lake’s shifting beauty. The ride was slower than planned, but how could I resist pulling over to drink in the panoramas and capture snapshots of moments that felt suspended in time?
By the time I rolled into Good Mood Resort, I wasn’t just craving coffee — I was craving a still moment. I found it in a quiet green garden, where the gentle waves kiss the surrounding lush vegetation. This is my favorite corner of the vast property.
As I sat there sipping some coffee, I opened a book titled The Richest Man in Babylon by George S. Clason. One page at a time, I absorbed timeless lessons about wealth and wisdom while completely immersed in the tranquil atmosphere around me.
When I finally put the book down, I took a few moments to soak in the scene around me—ducks wandering freely nearby, birds showing off their melodic flair, and villagers paddling their wooden canoes across the lake.
This was more than just a coffee break—it was a serene reunion with Mother Nature. Surrounded by the gentle rhythms of the lake and the soothing whispers of the breeze, I found myself not only reconnecting with the natural world but also traveling to ancient Babylon. It was a pause that fed both body and soul—a moment of clarity where nature’s calm met Clason’s insights on wealth, discipline, and purpose.
